Project 3: Me Me Meme
Homework Due on 11/7/12: For the next project it has been requested that a six-step analysis essay no longer be part of the requirements. Though I'm not opposed to this idea it is still important that I have some method to evaluate your knowledge of this analytic process. In order to prove that the class is ready to move on from this grading system I am asking that you write down and explain 3 different ways in which you could prove your knowledge of your working process and the six-steps instead of writing a six-step analysis essay. Each explanation should tell me how the information will be delivered and why this is MORE VALUABLE than writing an essay. Also, please give one idea for a future project and how your preferred six-step method would be used to explain the project. Plan on handing this assignment in.

Then read The Original Pitch For Monsters, Inc. and write a paragraph that explains how you see the rules of storytelling demonstrated when you compare both the pitch and film Monsters, Inc.
Homework Due on 10/19/12: Read the micro-fiction stories that were handed out in class. Write down a two sentence description of the theme for each story. Also, pick one story that you enjoyed and choose a character from it. Using the limited information you received about the character, write a small paragraph (6 to 7 sentences) you could give to someone that gives them an idea of who the character is. You will be making a lot of inferences; that is perfectly acceptable. The goal is to get to the heart of the character and determine what makes him/her tick.
Homework Due on 10/17/12: Read the Peter Docter interview.
