Homework Due on May 17: Bring in two items to add to the class springboard. Try to find items that have a nice surface to connect with the microphone.
Homework Due on May 7: Locate a device at your home that can record digital sound. Record 3 different sounds in 3 different locations and save them as .WAV files (use .MP3if you can not save as a .WAV). Try to experiment with the three aspects of sound (height, width, and depth) and use this assignment as a way to collect sounds that represent all three. Bring you sounds to class so that they can be evaluated and shared with the class.
Project Due on May 7: Analyzing Deception Paper. You have the ability to work on this for the first half of class on April 29 though the rest will be completed on your own time.
Homework Due on March 4: Think about what you learned in regards to adding to conversational value by easing into a topic and exclusively using open-ended questions. Partake in a social experiment by having a conversation with someone you normally have some difficulty communicating with. Using the techniques that we practiced in class, practice these conversational techniques. Afterwards, write a short paragraph about your experience and give examples of the questions that you asked. Don't be afraid to explain what worked, what did not work, and why.
Homework Due on Feburary 13: Finish your Marketable Perception assignment and have all of your materials ready for peer reviews, edits, and presentations.
