Project 2: To Web Space, And Beyond!

Classwork Due on 4/11/13: During class time please visit the World Wonders Project Website and work on the World Wonders Project packet. Complete as much of the packet as you can during class time. When class is finished please print out, staple, and put your name on the work then hand it in for assessment. If you finish with additional time left you may focus your attention on work for other classes. If you miss class for some reason please complete the packet for homework.

Homework Due on 3/26/13: Listen to this audio short story. If you have trouble deciphering the story after listening to it you can read it here.This story will be used exclusively in class on the 26th as we combine with the Science Fiction As Literature class. Answer the following questions (each should be at least 3 sentences):

+ Why do you feel that Ellison creates such a strange narrative flow? Talk about the temporal/narrative transitions.
+ Harlan Ellison is considered a performance writer. How does this story, and the method for which the story is delivered, demonstrate this idea?
+ How does Ellison's theories about the way in which we utilize time compare or contrast with your own beliefs?

If you fail to do this assignment, and fail to participate in class, you will receive a 0 in the gradebook.
